Four arrested for missing millions from Police Credit Union

By: Jermine Abel, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LAWMEN on Thursday (Oct. 1) took four individuals into custody in connection with a multi-million-dollar racket at the Police Credit Union.

No official statement has been forthcoming from the police on the arrests, but SKNVibes News understands that the arrests were made yesterday morning following a lengthy investigation.

SKNVibes understands that the troubled lending institution has been dogged by missing funds for over a year and a forensic audit was conducted on the entity’s books by a large financial institution.

It was earlier this year that concerns were raised over the handling of the finances of the institution.

This is not the first time the institution is under the microscope, as SKNVibes has been reporting in recent years officers who applied for loans had found it difficult to access those finances or received less of what they requested, despite qualifying for same.
