BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE on St. Kitts are investigation the death of a male St. Peter's Village resident, whose body was found yesterday (Oct. 3) in a house in the Newtown area.
According to a police press release, the dead man’s name was given as Alphonso Ezekiel Collins.
The release stated that sometime after 6:00 p.m. yesterday, police received a report of a sudden death in Newtown.
On response, police found the motionless body of the 56-year old man inside a house on Pond Road, Newtown.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Collins had collapsed and the Emergency Medical Service was called to the scene, but was unresponsive when examined by one of the medical personnel.
He was thereafter examined by the District Medical Doctor, who pronounced him dead.
Members from the Forensic Department visited and processed the scene.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing and the police are asking anyone who might have information pertaining to this incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 or the nearest police station.
