BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE said they are still hunting for the fifth suspect in the Golf View Apartments robbery that occurred on Wednesday (Sept. 16), but indicated that no wanted bulletin would be released by the Force for that person at this time.
On the day in question, the four suspects allegedly intruded two homes in the Golf View Apartments in Frigate Bay and robbed the occupants at gunpoint.
Quick response by the police enabled them to capture the four armed suspects in a black jeep.
Following their investigations, police discovered that the men were wearing masks, bulletproof vests, gloves and sunglasses.
Additionally, the men were found with high-powered weapons, including one Diamondback .380 Pistol, one Taurus Millennium Pro Pistol, and two Mac-9 high-powered Pistols; the vehicle that was being driven bore fake license plates.
At the Prime Minister’s recently held press conference, Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy confirmed that the four men were charged with Kidnapping, among other things.
“I am pleased to announce that four persons have been charged for various accounts; Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Possession of Various Firearm,” the Top Cop revealed.
With regards to the fifth suspect, Commissioner Brandy said: “Concerning the fifth person, we are not in a position to release a bulletin. We are still conducting the investigation into that matter.”
