BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RESIDENT Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez, on Monday (Oct. 5), performed an autopsy on the body of 56-year-old Alphonso Ezekiel Collins of Stapleton Village, St. Peters and concluded that death was as a result of Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack).
According to a police communiqué, sometime after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 3), police received a report of a sudden death in the Newtown area.
On response, police found the motionless body of Collins inside a house on Pond Road, Newtown.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Collins had collapsed and the Emergency Medical Service was called to the scene, but he was unresponsive when examined by one of the medical personnel.
He was thereafter examined by the District Medical Doctor, who pronounced him dead.
Members from the Forensic Department had visited and processed the scene.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing and the police are asking anyone who might have information pertaining to this incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 or the nearest police station.
