BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE took a yet to be identified individual into custody for the discovery of a Glock and matching rounds of ammunition in the Newtown area.
According to the Police Force, the man was arrested yesterday (Oct. 14) in relation to the firearm discovery.
Police said a search was executed on a premises in Carty Alley, Newtown on Wednesday, and one Glock 19 firearm with a matching magazine and four 9mm rounds of ammunition were found.
“The items were taken into custody along with an individual who lives on the premises,” Police said.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
This find brings to eight the total number of illegal firearms taken off the streets of the twin-island Federation.
