Junior Achievement St. Kitts and Nevis 2020-2021 Program Year Begins

By: Junior Achievement, Press Release
Junior Achievement St. Kitts and Nevis begins its program year with Entrepreneurship ReImagined.

High school students, youth groups, and young adults can participate in the new series, which builds on JA’s traditional Company Program. Through experiential learning, participants understand the risk and benefits of launching business ventures. They identify a leadership team, capitalize on their enterprise, develop products and services. They manage operations and in the end, liquidate their company.

Entrepreneurship ReImagined equips participants with the tools they need to operate in both the physical and digital worlds. Participants have the opportunity to create borderless ventures, with limitless possibilities.

    No vision can escape execution
    - …so said JA’s launch speaker, Mr. Cordell Jeffers.

28-year-old Cordell Jeffers, Founder, and CEO of Mungo Sports – JA’s 2020-2021 motivational speaker
As a former student of Gingerland Secondary School, Cordell easily identified with JA’s purpose and mission surrounding youth development in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.

Cordell’s journey to success was born from both bad and good experiences. Being kicked out of a British school at the age of 14, Cordell was brought by his mother to the native land of his grandparents – the island of Nevis. Cordell credits the beginning of his successful journey to his Nevisian education experience. He learned the valuable lesson of discipline, a defining moment for his future endeavours. Now a business owner and motivational speaker, Cordell encourages youth around the world to believe in themselves and create change.

Junior Achievement has been operating in St. Kitts and Nevis since 2004. Through its programs, JA inspires the nation’s youth to become productive citizens and business owners. All JA programs align with national curricula. Content is shared using the experiential learning methodology, allowing students to put into practice what they are learning in the classroom.

JA St. Kitts and Nevis is a member of JA Worldwide.
