BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE cause of 44-year-old Lesley Small’s death has been revealed to be severe cranioencephalic trauma due to a contusion.
That conclusion was made by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez following Wednesday’s (Nov 11) autopsy.
The conclusion means that he suffered a serious traumatic brain injury from a fall he sustained while at work.
Reports earlier this week indicated that Small, of Cunningham Village, fell from a roof while carrying out work in the Frigate Bay area.
Commenting on the incident, lawmen, in a statement, said an investigation is currently underway to ascertain what transpired.
However, their investigations thus far have revealed that sometime around midday on Monday (Nov 9), the Criminal Investigation Department was informed of a death at the JNF General Hospital.
In response, they were informed that Small was on a building in Half Moon, Frigate Bay working on the roof when he fell off the building.
A private vehicle took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
