November 26th, 2020 -- The TDC Group of Companies continues to ensure that the health and safety of its customers and staff remain a top priority, as the Federation continues to cope with the impact of the novel coronavirus, COVID19.

On the invitation of Mr. Earle Chairman, Group Chairman, on Wednesday 18th November 2020, the Executive and Management teams met with representatives of the National Coronavirus Task Force; Dr. Hazel Laws, Chief Medical Officer, Mr. Abdias Samuel, NEOC Chairman, Mr. Glenville Leader, Senior Health Officer, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adolph Adams, to brief them on the company's measures and plans ahead of and during the expected busy Holiday season.

According to Mr. Lester Hanley, Group Safety and Security Manager, “the Group continues to take a proactive stance when dealing with the COVID-19 by inviting in the relevant authorities to brief them on our updated protocols and plans for the upcoming holiday shopping period. This year, the Group has added several changes to the way we usually operate during our sales season to protect both our loyal customer and valued staff from possible exposure to the coronavirus.”

Hanley further added that the presentation provided opportunities for the sharing of ideas on future compliance from a business standpoint that included contact tracing, sanitizing practices, social and physical distancing, among others.

The meeting also coincided with the release of a companywide informational video that seeks to educate the public about how the various TDC related businesses are playing their part to sensitize and remind customers about protecting and safeguarding themselves when conducting business at TDC establishments.

The session took place at the TDC Training and Learning Resource Centre on Fort Street in Basseterre.
