‘Big Cheese’ escapes from police custody

By: Jermine Abel, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN what many law-abiding citizens described as incompetence and a lack of professionalism, a man had reportedly escaped the clutches of the police early yesterday morning (Dec. 9) by undetectably walking out of the Courthouse in Basseterre.

Subsequently, the police had launched an investigation and issued a wanted bulletin for the man, whose name was given as Calvin ‘Big Cheese’ Grant of Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre.

The bulletin stated that Grant is wanted for Larceny and Escaping Police Custody.

Police have described him as being 42-years-old, 5’11” tall, brown in complexion with brown eyes, black hair and medium built.

Grant is being asked by the police to present himself to the nearest police station.

The police are also asking anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241, the nearest police station or call the Crime Hotline at 707.
