Man injured in Hanley’s Road shooting incident

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - AN investigation has been launched into a shooting incident in Nevis on Thursday evening (Dec. 10) that left one man nursing a gunshot injury.
Police said that on the day in question they visited the Alexandra Hospital after a report was made of a male individual with a gunshot wound was present at the medical institution.
Investigations conducted so far by the police revealed that around 6:30 p.m., Denrick Pemberton, while walking towards his Hanley’s Road residence, came under fire by an unknown individual.
Police revealed that the man was struck in the leg and managed to make it home where he was transported to the Alexandra Hospital in a private vehicle.
His condition has been listed as stable.
Personnel from the Forensic Service Unit processed the scene and items of evidential value were collected. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
