By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE audacity of criminals has once again been displayed with the shooting of a young man while in the comfort of his home.

According to information relayed by Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Cromwell Henry, at about 12:30 this morning (Sept 28), the police responded to a “report of shooting at Cardin Avenue” and found that the victim was Antonio Richards of the said area.

“Investigations revealed that 23-year-old Antonio Richards was in his bed when an unknown person opened the door of his house – which was not locked – and fired a single shot at him, catching him in his shoulder.”

Richards, according to Henry, was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he was treated and is warded in “stable” condition.

To date, no arrest was made in connection with this incident and the police are seeking assistance from the public in solving the crime. Persons with relevant information are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 ext 220 or 230. Informants are reminded that the anonymity clause remains intact.
