BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A search operation is currently underway to locate Verchild’s resident Clovis Williams, who was reportedly lost at sea.
Though the law enforcement agencies did not release an official statement on the incident, reliable sources have confirmed that an investigation was launched into the disappearance and involves the Police Force and the Coast Guard.
Details of the incident are still sketchy, however, media reports indicated that Williams, 39, went out to sea with two other individuals and was reported missing on Saturday (Dec. 19).
According to media reports, sometime after 3:00 p.m. on the day in question, the Police Force was informed of the incident by a relative.
Videos making rounds on social media show the Coast Guard combing the waters just offshore St. Kitts in search of the missing fisherman.
