By: Staff Reporter,

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Police Force has launched a probe into the discovery of a body in Phillip's Mountain in the early afternoon hours of Tuesday (Dec. 29).

Police said that upon arrival at a mountainous area in Phillip's Village, the body of 60-year-old Charles Lowry, formerly of Phillip's Village, was met lying on its back.

He was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.
Preliminary investigations conducted by lawmen so far have revealed that Lowry had left his home at about 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and went to the mountain as he normally would set his trap.

He however did not return home.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
The police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Tabernacle Police Station at 465-7227.
