In its continued efforts to promote the folklore and ensure its survival and advancement, the Department of Culture presents “Folklore Caravan” as part of Sugar Mas 49.
Various folklore troupes will be performing in different villages throughout the entire island, as per the schedule below:
On New Year’s day, Friday 1st January:
1. In the Rural areas:
a. Monkey Hill Bull, which is a new folklore group
b. Tabernacle Ancestors Mummies and
c. Taroes Masquerades
2. In Basseterre:
a. Huggins’ Masquerades and
b. Sandy Point Bull
Saturday 2nd January, the folklore will be performing as per the schedule below:
1. In the Rural areas:
a. SKN Bull
b. Valon’s Masquerades and
c. Sylvester’s Masquerades
2. Basseterre:
a. Jingle Bells String Band and
b. Mansion Bull
