BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - HEALTH officials in St. Georges, Grenada yesterday (Jan. 3) announced the territory's first COVID-19 death since the pandemic made its way on the island.
In making the announcement, the territory's Chief Medical Officer said the deceased is a 72-year-old who entered the island on December 16.
According to the CMO, the male had entered the island with his wife and three-year-old grandchild.
The Ministry of Health has expressed condolences to the family, and health officials in St. Georges were expected to address the nation last evening.
