December 30, 2020 -- For many families, Christmas 2020 was a bit brighter thanks to the recently concluded “Insuring A Merry Christmas” campaign organised by Massy United Insurance.
The regional general insurance company invited the communities in its branch network to identify families in need and nominate them to receive a Christmas hamper and/or grocery vouchers. MUI team members then delivered the hampers and vouchers to the selected families and organisations.
“So far 2020 has been a pretty rough year. The pandemic hit unexpectedly and we were all forced to adapt in some way. This has been more difficult for some, as we have lost lives, jobs and the overall sense of security across the Caribbean region. With so many families facing financial hardships, the Christmas season may be one with less joy and cheer. At Massy United Insurance we believed that we must do our part in helping families in need, especially during the holidays.” said Chief Executive Officer of Massy United Insurance, Randy Graham when speaking about the initiative.
More than US$25,000 in donations were made over the Christmas season in Trinidad, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada and Guyana, directly to families in need and to organisations that support families in need.
