BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have found the perpetrator who was involved in a November 2020 sexual assault of a juvenile in the Basseterre area.
On Monday (Nov. 30), last, a juvenile reported that she was physically and sexually assaulted in the Capital area before the midday hour.
In a statement on that incident, police reported that the victim indicated that a male assailant held her throat from the back and took her into an abandoned house where he physically and sexually assaulted her.
He then fled the scene after committing the act.
Late last evening (Jan. 16), police stated that the male – whose identity was withheld - is from St. Kitts and he was charged with the offense of Rape.
He was charged on Friday (Jan. 15) and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
It is unclear whether this individual is responsible for the string of sexual assaults that occurred in the Basseterre area in late 2019 and also in 2020.
