BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A family is now in distress as an elderly man is recovering from an act of grievous bodily harm following a robbery incident that reportedly occurred earlier this week.
Police are yet to respond to a request from this publication for a comment on this incident.
However, photos making rounds in St. Kitts and Nevis show an elderly man from Saddler’s Village with sutures to the head and over the right eye following what is being described as a result of a chop wound.
Reports indicate that the incident might have occurred late Monday night (Jan. 18) or early Tuesday morning.
It was suggested that thieves broke into the house and during the robbery dealt the man severe blows, including the wound to his head.
