Federation records 39th COVID-19 case

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ANOTHER American tourist has returned a positive test for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 39.

     

    The latest case was recorded on Monday (Feb. 1) and the person is said to have arrived in the Federation mid-January.

     

    In confirming that case, the Ministry of Health disclosed that the international traveller landed in the Federation on January 17, 2021 from the United States of America.

     

    Since that individual’s arrival, he/she has been in quarantine at one of the COVID-19 certified hotels.
     
    “The patient was duly notified and is now in isolation. This additional case brings the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases to 39 with 27 cases for St. Kitts and 12 cases for Nevis,” the statement noted.

     

    Since that case was reported, the Ministry confirmed that currently there was one recovery with zero deaths.

     

    “Please note that 36 cases have fully recovered with zero deaths. There are now three (3) active cases. These patients are stable and are being monitored,” the statement added.
