By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -  THE Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has announced that it would not begin sailing before Tuesday, May 31, 2021.

That announcement was made in a media statement by the cruise line, in which it has notified persons interested in sailing that “guests and crew's safety and well-being are always our top priorities”.

The cruise industry has been the hardest hit sector across the world after it registered numerous outbreaks during the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In its statement, Royal Caribbean explained that in order to allow additional time for the return to service preparations, they have extended the suspension of sailings for the global fleet through May 31, 2021.

The cruise line also stated that four of its vessels - Quantum, Spectrum, Voyager and Odyssey of the Seas - would not return until June.
