Police release details on Old Road Bay accident

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SPEEDING and overtaking are being highlighted as two of the major causes behind last week’s Old Road Bay accident that left three people nursing injuries.

Finally, in final providing details of the accident, police revealed that two adults and a child were injured in the accident that saw motor jeep P2747 plunging to the Bay below the road.

Information provided by the police yesterday (Apr. 7) stated that the accident occurred after 6:00 p.m., when vehicle P2747 travelling west towards Green Tree tried to overtake another vehicle and, while doing so, the driver lost control of the jeep.

In trying to avoid a head on collision with an oncoming vehicle, the jeep went over into Old Road Bay.

The man was treated and discharged that same day, while the woman and the child were kept overnight for observation.
