BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AN autopsy conducted on the body of the teenager who was recently involved in a freak accident in Sandy Point, died from “multiple skull fractures”.
Police in a recent media statement explained that an autopsy was performed on the body of the 15-year-old boy from Crab Hill, Sandy Point, on April 07, 2021 by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez.
In his conclusion, Dr. Nuñez determined that “death was as a result of blunt trauma to the head due to multiple skull fractures as a consequence of severe head injury”.
Police in a statement issued on the incident explained they responded to a report received about an incident at the Sandy Point Basketball Court.
Investigations revealed that the juvenile and his friends were playing a game of basketball when a large tree fell on top of him. His friends however managed to escape.
He was transported via the Emergency Medical Service to the Pogson Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
This publication later understood that the teen’s name was given as Keyon Richard.
