Bounty Killer again…third run-in with the law

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes
KINGSTON, Jamaica - DANCEHALL singer Bounty Killer seems to be having a string of bad luck lately as he was arrested on Tuesday (Oct. 6) for possession of marijuana in New Kingston.

According to The Star newspaper of Jamaica, the cross, angry, singer was out celebrating a friend’s birthday and, just moments after he left, he was stopped by an unmarked police vehicle at an intersection.

The media house stated it was further reported that during a subsequent search, Bounty Killer, who was born Rodney Price, was found with a ‘spliff’ and a small bag containing less than four ounces of ganja.

He was taken to the New Kingston Police Post, where he was formally charged. He is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, October 15 to answer to that charge. This incident brings to three, the number of cases which Price has before the courts.

He is to return to court on Wednesday, November 11 when an illegal firearm case against him will continue. He also has a case before the Traffic Court in which he is accused of obstructing traffic, disobeying a red light and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

Only three days ago Price was denied entry into Trinidad for a show where he was scheduled to perform.

About one month ago the singer had charges dropped against him for beating a pregnant woman at an event. The charges were dropped because the woman failed to appear in court.
