BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Valston Graham, has decided to withdraw the criminal case brought by St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s Chairman Dr. Terrance Drew against People’s Action Movement’s Minister Eugene Hamilton.
Hamilton, the Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Eight, won that seat in the 2020 General Elections over Dr. Drew by 24 votes and had two private criminal charges filed against him.
In his case, Drew suggested that he had sufficient evidence to back up his allegation of Bribery and Treating.
Those charges stemmed from a community outreach programme Hamilton did in the lead-up to the Elections that the Team Unity Administration won 9-2.
The DPP’s office is expected to issue a statement on the matter.
