April 25, 2021 -- St. Kitts Biomedical Research Foundation (SKBRF) has had the privilege of recruiting Dr. Quincy Edwards to its respected international team of scientists. Dr. Edwards now holds the position of Research Scientist at St. Kitts Biomedical Research Foundation (SKBRF) where he directs translational efficacy and safety studies to advance the development of new therapeutics.
Dr. Edwards received his Ph.D. in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry in 2016 from the University of the West Indies. Following receipt of his Ph.D., he held the positions of lecturer at Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) and has served on the CFBC Board of Governors, and remains engaged as a liaison between SKBRF and CFBC, a top source of talent for SKBRF.
Dr. Edwards has been the invited speaker at over 12 regional and international scientific meetings, is the first author on seven scientific papers, and has collaborated with researchers at Yale University, University of Central Florida, and Mississippi State University in the U.S. Additionally, Dr. Edwards has received numerous scientific awards.
St. Kitts Biomedical Research Foundation has 70 employees, of which 97% are either Kittitian or Nevisian. An overwhelming majority of the research staff, both technicians and research scientists, have attended CFBC.
