BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE in Basseterre are investigating a shooting in McKnight, which has left one man wounded and warded in the Joseph N France General Hospital.
Information reaching SKNVibes states that 24-year-old Glen Browne of Dorset was shot this morning (Oct. 11) shortly after 11:00 in Fiennes Avenue, McKnight.
On arrival on the scene, this media house spoke with the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Cromwell Henry, who said that they received report of the shooting at about 11:15 a.m.
“Police responded to the report shortly after it was made and investigation revealed that while a group of young men was sitting on a chair in an alley between Finnes Avenue and Tibou Avenue, two masked men approached and opened fire on them and injuring Browne in the process. He was taken to the JNF Hospital, where he is being treated,” Henry said.
Asked how many times Browne was shot, how serious his condition was and if the identity of the perpetrators were known, Henry said he could not have provided further information at the time but noted “investigation was ongoing”.
However, when SKNVibes visited the hospital, a reliable source informed that Browne was in a stable condition.
