22 more COVID-19 cases reported

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has passed the 200 mark when it increased by double digits over the weekend.

     

    That is according to the latest situation report released by the St. Kitts Health Promotion Unit last evening (June 14), which showed that since the last announcement on Saturday by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hazel Laws, the case numbers jumped by 22.

     

    According to the information released, the number confirmed for the Federation stands at 209 with 145 said to be active and a further 64 deemed to have recovered from the virus.

     

    The Health Promotion Unit highlighted that 453 persons are in quarantine at home, while another 616 are at a government facility.

     

    Officials from the National Emergency Operation Center are expected to provide an update to the public at their media conference this afternoon.
