BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – CARNIVAL will be hotter this year with exciting added attractions including the Potential’s What’s Up Weekend Fiesta which will begin on Friday, December 4 and end on Sunday, December 6.

Alfred Harley, Manager of What’s Up, told SKNVibes that they are thankful to the Carnival Committee for granting them the three days to host the pre-carnival event.

He said that the fiesta would provide entertainment for all.

On December 4, a mega concert will be held featuring Jah Cure, and on December 5 the highlight of that day will be a Treasure Hunt and a band clash in the evening.

Harley said that there would be over EC$20 000 in prizes to be won for what he expects to be the biggest Treasure Hunt in St. Kitts, where he anticipates that over 200 people would be participating.

In the evening, eight bands from St. Kitts and Nevis are expected to compete in the first ever Potential’s What’s Up Band of the Year Competition.

He said the winning band could receive EC$10 000 in prizes.

On the final day, December 6, there will be a free party and boat ride that will climax the weekend activities.

More information will be made available to the public within the coming weeks.
