The St. Kitts-Nevis University of the West Indies Alumni Association (SKNUWIAA) held elections on Friday, July 16, 2021.
The new Executive Board members are:

Treasurer: Ms Laverne Brookes
Assistant Treasurer: Mrs Charisse Dolphin-Gumbs
Publications & Promotions Officer: Mr Lesroy Williams
Members & Data Officer: Ms Kayla Farrell
Youth Alumni Facilitator: Mr Xaiver-Jon Bass
Social Media Facilitator: Ms Jacqueline Bryan
Executive Member: Dr. Joan Rawlins
Executive Member: Ms Philicia Walters
The President serves a two-year term while the other members of the Executive serve one-year terms. The Immediate Past President is Mr Craig Tuckett, who will continue to serve as an ex-officio member. Mr Tuckett was recently elected as The UWI Global Alumni Representative, consequently serves on various committees at the university level.
Since 2017, the SKNUWIAA has organized the St. Kitts and Nevis Global Giving and National UWI Alumni Pelican Award ceremony. At this ceremony, an outstanding Kittitian or Nevisian alumnus of the University is recognized for their contribution at local, regional and international levels. Recent past Pelican awardees include His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, Governor-General of the Federation, The Right Excellent the Right Honorable Dr Kennedy Simmonds, first Prime Minister and National Hero, Dr Keith Archibald and Mrs Lorna Nisbett-Callender.

The UWI’s Global Giving Programme was launched in 2016 with a special region-wide Global Giving Week held from 1-7 August annually. Proceeds of the programme go towards funding students, research, facilities and equipment, construction and maintenance of residential halls, and faculty and sports programmes across the University.
On June 26th, during the first-ever UWI Global Alumni Day, The St Kitts and Nevis UWI Alumni Association received the Most Impactful Alumni Association Award.
