Man shot in leg, face on Nevis

    CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - JUST two days after a shooting incident in Newtow, St. Kitts that resulted in a double homicide, a man on Nevis is currently hospitalised after being shot while entering the yard of his home.

     

    A police report stated that at about 3:00 a.m. on Thursday (July 29), police had received information that a male was presented at the Alexandra Hospital with a gunshot wound.

     

    Preliminary investigations revealed that Devon Parris had arrived at his Stuart William’s Drive home sometime after 2:00 a.m. However, upon entering his yard, an unknown assailant began shooting at him. 

     

    In an effort to escape from the assailant, Parris began running but was shot to one of his legs leg and face and is now warded at the JNF General Hospital in St. Kitts in stable condition.

     

    Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.  
     
    As investigations continue, the police are urging persons with information about this incident to contact the Charlestown Police Station by dialling 469-5391, the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707.
