    Dore’s death reeks with suspicion

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have released the findings of autopsies performed on the bodies of 44-year-old Wilson Dore of Bath Village, Nevis and 21-year-old Keniqua David of Saddlers Village.

According to a police release, yesterday (Sept. 2), Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez had performed an autopsy on Dore’s body and concluded that “death was due left hemopnuemothorax as a result of blunt trauma to the left hemithorax (rib fracture)”.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 29), the partiall clothed lifeless body of Dore was found in Bath Village.

Police had summoned the District Medical Officer who pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigations into this matter are ongoing and the police are urging persons who might have information about this incident to contact the Charlestown Police Station by dialling 469-5391, the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707.

In the case of David, Dr. Nuñez had performed an autopsy on her body on Wednesday (Sept. 1) and concluded that death was due to severe craniofacial trauma as a result of a motor vehicular accident.

According to dell children’s Ascension, “Craniofacial trauma is a blanket term that refers to an injury of the face or skull. This can refer to skin, bone and teeth injuries as well parts of the mouth, neck and sinuses.”

Police had reported that the 21-year-old had lost her life following a traffic accident in the Bird Rock area on Friday (Aug. 27).

The accident, according to police, had involved motor jeep P6667, which is owned and was driven by Kellian Hazel of St. Paul’s.

Investigations revealed that close to 1:00 a.m. on the day in question, Hazel had exited the parking lot of a club in Bird Rock and collided with the chasis of a 40-foot container.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services was summoned to the scene to extricate David who was in the front passenger seat.

A unit from the Emergency Medical Services had transported both of them to the JNF General Hospital, where Hazel was treated and discharged for injuries to his hand, while David succumbed to her injuries close to midnight.

That traffic accident has taken to three the number of fatalities for the year.
