BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN their ongoing effort to make the Federation a safer place for citizens and residents, as well as visitors, members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police have removed yet another illegal firearm and a quantity of ammunition off the streets.

In a press release, police stated that Allister Forde of Middle Island was charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

The release also stated that while officers were at a vehicle checkpoint at the Southeast Peninsula on Friday (Sept. 3), they conducted a search of a bag that was in Forde’s possession and found one Taurus G2C 9mm pistol, two magazines and 10 matching rounds of ammunition.

He was charged on Monday (Sept. 6) and subsequently remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

This find has taken to seven, the number of illegal firearms to have been taken off the streets of the twin-island Federation.
