SKN records its eighth COVID-19-related death

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - HEALTH officials in Basseterre have reported another COVID-19-related death, which has taken the number of fatalies in the twin-island Federation to eight.

     

    In its latest situation report published today (Sept. 13), the Ministry of Health’s dashboard reported that there were eight confirmed COVID-19 deaths, up from the seven that was shown yesterday.

     

    The report that reflected data from Saturday, showed that there were 25 new confirmed cases of the virus, which have taken the number of active cases on both islands to 647.

     

    According to the Ministry of Health’s dashboard, there are 1,464 reported confirmed cases of the virus in the Federation, with 810 said to have recovered.

     

    Of that number, 1,203 were reported on St. Kitts with the remaining 261 on Nevis, along with seven deaths.

     

    There have been 46, 672  doses of various vaccines administered in the entire Federation. A breakdown of that total showed that 35,736 were given in St. Kitts and 10,936 in Nevis.

     

    According to the Ministry, 21, 916 people are deemed to be fully vaccinated.
