Former government official guilty of Indecent Assault

    Remanded to Her Majesty's Prison until sentencing

     

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FORMER Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Stanley Knight of Dorset Village was on Monday (Sept. 27) found guilty by the court for the offence of Indecent Assault.

     

    A female had accused the 57-year-old Knight of indecently assaulting her, which she reportedly claimed occurred on October 31, 2018 in his office that was at the time located in The Cable on Cayon Street, Basseterre.

     

    According to media reports, the matter was reported sometime in November 2018 and he was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence of Indecent Assault several days later. 

     

    Reports out of the court stated that he was found guilty by a majority verdict of 10-2. 

     

    SKNVibes understands that the judge had ordered a Social Enquiry Report to be presented in court  on Monday, October 25.

     

    Knight is said to be remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison where he is awaiting sentencing.
