BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- POLICE confirmed that 50-year-old Alphonso Thompson, the man who escaped custody over the weekend, is now back within the confines of the force.
The West Farm resident reportedly escaped police custody while receiving treatment at the Joseph N France General Hospital on Friday.
Police in a media statement indicated that the man turned himself on Sunday evening.
Thompson was serving a 30-day prison sentence for the offense of using threatening language. His escape would likely land him additional time behind bars.
