Hutton charged for contraband crimes

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- DESPITE pleas from officials to stop seeking to throw contraband over the fence or walking them into Her Majesty’s Prison, those have gone on deaf ear as another person has been arrested for the throwing act.

     

    Police charged 27-year-old Cheslyn Hutton of Cotton Ground for the offences of Conveying Contraband into the Prison and Conveying Tobacco into the Prison. 

     

    Those charges were laid on October 27, 2021. 

     

    The man was also slapped with Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply; those charges were laid on October 29, 2021.

     

     Police said that the offences were committed on October 25, 2021. He has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
