Police release details of Indecent Assault charge

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-- THE soldier who was charged with Indecent Assault has been placed on $30,000 bail with two sureties of $15,000 each, according to the Police Force.

     

    Police have not given the identity of the individual due to the nature of the case but the individual has been identified in various media reports.

     

    The male, who resides in District ‘A’, was slapped with two counts of Indecent Assault on October 27, 2021 and was subsequently bailed on October 29, 2021.

     

    The court set strict bail conditions that include being ordered to surrender all travel documents, to not contact the virtual complainant/witnesses, to report to the nearest Police Station weekly (Stapleton Police Station), and to give notice of seventy-two (72) hours before leaving his residence.

     

    Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy recently confirmed that the person charged in the matter was a soldier. He could not give any further details at the time due to the nature of the case and the investigation.
