BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- PRIME MINISTER Dr. Timothy Harris has announced that December 16th and 18th will be the two days that will see VAT reduction as was previously promised.
During a recent edition of his Leadership Matters programme, Dr. Harris announced a number of measures to stimulate the economy and ensure food are within the country, a number of measures were implemented.
Speaking in Parliament this morning (Nov. 10), the prime minister explained that the dates were determined following consultations with the St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
To accommodate the VAT discount days, payments to public servants, STEP workers and others who are dependent on government assistance will be paid early.
