Three lucky winners drawn in the Sandy Point Benevolent Society’s Raffle

By: (SPBS), Press Release

12th November, 2021 -- The Sandy Point Benevolent Society’s (SPBS) virtual fund raiser may be over, but 3 persons are still basking in its afterglow. These are the winners of the raffle held as part of its fund-raising efforts to support its annual programs. The Raffle was one of the highly-anticipated items of the virtual event held on Saturday 6th November.

Mrs Zonya Williams of St. Kitts walked away with the main prize of a 7-day stay at Club Landor in the Bahamas. SPBS past honoree and former teacher at the then Sandy Point High School, Seymour Davis won the second prize of a headset, while the third prize winner of a $100 amazon gift card was Sudhakar Balijepali.

Mr Trevor Hanley, Treasurer of SPBS who coordinated the raffle said the organization was grateful for the support of its raffle.

“This is one of several avenues that we use to raise funds, allowing friends and well wishers of SPBS to support the work that we do,” he shared.  Winners may contact Mr Hanley to collect their respective prizes.

Raffle tickets were sold in New York as well as by members of the local chapter in St. Kitts & Nevis leading up to and including the day of the event. Names of the patrons of the raffle were entered into a data base and on the night of the virtual fundraiser the winners were selected in full view of the viewing audience.

The Sandy Point Benevolent Society appreciates the support of the general public and reminds potential donors that they can still donate to its work via its online platform at www.spbsinc.org.
