BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- POLICE have released details about Saturday’s (Nov.13) shooting incident that left the son of former Prime Minister Sir Kennedy Simmonds injured.
According to Police, Kenrick Simonds was leaving a bar around 1:00 a.m. in the Buckley’s area when a lone gunman fired several shots at him.
The 43-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the arm which subsequently entered his chest. Police said Simmonds was transported to the JNF General Hospital.
The Bird Rock resident has been in the headlines in recent years after he and two other persons were before the courts, reportedly for drug offences.
Simmonds is currently warded in a stable condition.
