BASSETERRE, St. Kitts --FOLLOWING a shooting incident that occurred in the wee hours of today (Nov. 19) Police have made a swift arrest in the incident which left a sexagenarian injured.
The man, 61-year-old Clyde Clarke of Challengers was shot and injured, while he was in his home.
Police said that shortly after midnight, Clarke was in his outside kitchen when a lone gunman entered the premises and shot at him. He sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to the JNF General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is warded in a stable condition.
In a statement this evening, police said an individual was taken into Police custody in relation to a shooting. They indicated that based on information received shortly after the incident occurred and were able to identify and locate an individual who might be able to assist with the investigation.
