Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 26, 2021 (SKNIS): The Enchanted Princess is the fourth cruise ship to make its inaugural call at Port Zante since the start of the 2021/2022 tourism season. The Enchanted Princess berthed on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021.

Minister of Tourism, Transport and Ports, the Honourable Lindsay Grant, said that the inaugural visit of the Enchanted Princess demonstrates the relationship between St. Kitts and Nevis and the Princess Cruise Line which began during the 2013/2014 season with the arrival of the Emerald Princess.

“Since then, we have welcomed the Royal Princess, Ocean Princess, Caribbean Princess, Crown Princess, Pacific Princess, Regal Princess and the Coral Princess,” he said.

Minister Grant also stated that his Ministry of Tourism has and will continue to nurture the relationship between not only with the Princess brand but also with Carnival Corporation which is the parent company.

He continued, “Since the official start of our cruise season on November 1, 2021, we have seen the roots of our labor with the various brands of the carnival corporation visiting our destination.”

“Enchanted Princess is one of the Princess’ Royal Class vessels and was launched on August the sixth (6th) 2019 and is the fifth vessel in the Royal Class. With the arrival of the Enchanted Princess vessel today, we have now welcomed three of the Princess’ royal class vessels as both the Regal Princess and the Royal Princess have visited our destination.”

Minister Grant also said that it is important for citizens and residents of the Federation to understand that the St. Kitts destination continues to work assiduously with its cruise line partners to offer a safe experience.

“We are committed to working with our stakeholders to make the necessary adjustments to continually improve the visitor experience while balancing the lives and livelihoods of our nationals and our residents,” Minister Grant said.
