Basseterre, St. Kitts (January 23, 2006): The recent inclement weather has had minimal impact on the reconstruction work at Warner Park.
Chief Executive Officer of Cricket World Cup St. Kitts-Nevis Ltd., Horatio Versailles told SKNIS that the weather has been quite cooperative. 'The rain normally falls in the evening and on the weekend when there is no work scheduled,' Versailles disclosed, adding that much of the work is now being done on the inside. 'I can't tell you that the rain has not affected the work but I can tell you that it (the impact) has been minimal.'

previously revised because of a shortage of cement which delayed the construction progress. Mr. Versailles stressed that the reconstruction will be completed way ahead of the first scheduled international cricket match featuring the West Indies and India. This takes place on May 24.
This topic and others will be discussed at the upcoming series of meetings between visiting members of Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2007 Incorporated and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Activities begin

While here, the International Cricket Council (ICC) representatives will also attend a weekend retreat, as well as a cricket operations meeting. ICC venue officials Donald Lockerbie and Rebecca Stauter, and Corporate Communications Director Marvia Roach are expected to attend. Both events will convene at the Ocean Terrace Inn.
