Two in custody charged for firearm, ammo possession

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ONCE again, the police have been successful in their quest to rid the Federation’s streets of illegal firearms and ammunition.

     

    In their lattest effort, they have arrested and charged two individuals for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

     

    The mindividuals’ name were given as 36-year-old Kinney James of Greenland and 28-year-old Glenis Smalls of Lower Cayon.

     

    According to a press release, on Tuesday (Feb. 15) in the Frigate Bay area, police had stopped and search motor vehicle PB 2197, which was driven by Smalls with James  as a passenger.

     

    While searching the vehicle, the police found a SCCY 9mm pistol with an empty magazine and 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition. 

     

    Smalls and James are both in custody, according to the police.
