BASSETERRE (21st February, 2022) -- Last week, Minister of Tourism, Transport and Ports, Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant was in New York City to discuss the latest tourism updates from St. Kitts with media outlets across the United States.

He spoke with 27 different television and radio programs, including nationally-syndicated shows and local news outlets in St. Kitts’ key gateway and feeder markets, including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. Segments will air over the next two weeks.

“It was a pleasure speaking to a variety of television and radio hosts from across the United States to increase awareness of the current St. Kitts tourism offerings,” said Minister Grant. “Keeping St. Kitts top-of-mind for Americans that are considering international travel for this year is paramount. It’s an important mission of ours to continue amplifying the quintessential Caribbean experiences one can only have when visiting St. Kitts.”

“The Minister did an excellent job bringing news from St. Kitts to many of our most important markets and nationally across the United States, while further strengthening his foothold as a tourism industry leader” said Ellison “Tommy” Thompson, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “This robust lineup of media interviews has allowed us to spotlight St. Kitts as a premier choice for winter and spring travel, in line with current booking windows and growing interest in international travel.”

Throughout the interviews, Minister Grant highlighted the ease of traveling to St. Kitts, while making audiences aware of the destination’s impressive vaccination rate, the breadth of activities and offerings available for travelers across the island, and why now is the perfect time to book a trip.
