Autopsy determines suicide
CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - AN autopsy performed on the body of 19-year-old Nicholas Evans of Brick Kiln Village, Nevis revealed that there was no foul play and that he had committed suicide.
According to a police report, the autopsy was performed on Thursday (Mar. 10) by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez, who concluded that death was due to mechanical asphyxia due to hanging (Suicide).
Evans was found on Tusday (Mar. 8) hanging from a tree in the Brick Klin area, and sleuths from the Police Force had launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
His body was found hanging by the neck from a rope that was tied to the tree and the District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and pronounced him dead.
