Police probing fire at primary school in Molineaux

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are investigating the cause a fire that destroyed a number of classrooms of the Obadiah William Primary in Molineaux.
     
    Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 18), smoke was seen emanating from the building that houses the school and, according to the police, the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services Department in Tabernacle had responded to a report of a fire at the learning institution.
     
    On arrival at the school, Fire Officers met several classrooms engulfed in flames and they reacted quickly to extinguish the fire. 

     

    Reportedly, classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade Five and the contents therein were completely destroyed.
     
    As investigations continue, the police are asking anyone with information regarding this matter to contact the Tabernacle Police Station by dialling 465-7227, the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707, where information could be given anonymously.
