Seismic Activities Affecting St. Kitts and Nevis

    The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is monitoring reports of an earthquake which was felt earlier this afternoon.

     

    Reports reaching the agency indicates that the tremor was felt around 2:00p.m by a number of resident’s island wide.

     

    The UWI Seismic Research Centre has confirmed reports that a magnitude 3.7 earthquake occurred today Friday 25th March at 2:00p.m. Location: Latitude 17.43N; longitude: 62.76W; Depth: 3km.

     

    Residents are asked to stay tuned to the National Emergency Management Agency and the St. Kitts and Nevis Met Office as we continue to monitor seismic activities affecting St. Kitts and Nevis.
