Breaking: Grenada set to vote in June

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- IN a much anticipated announcement in Grenada, Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell has confirmed that citizens and residents will go to the polls next month.
At a campaign rally this evening, Dr. Mitchell revealed that the General Elections will be held on June 23rd, with nomination day set for June 1.
He also announced that he advised the Governor-General to dissolve the National Assembly on Monday, May 16th and provide the Writ for Tuesday. As is customary, there will be early voting for law enforcement officials and that will take place on June. 20th.
The Prime Minister had, over the last several days, hinted that he will make the announcement of the elections date at today's rally. Dr. Mitchell also used this evenings campaign stop to announce two new candidates to his slate.
