    7,000 Digicel staff worldwide dedicate a day to serving customers

     

    Kingston, Jamaica – Monday 16th May 2022 -- On the back of the huge success of its first-ever global Customer Day last year, Digicel staff across the world were back at it on Thursday 12th May as all employees across 32 markets got busy with customer-facing activities.

     

    Digicel’s Customer Day is all about ensuring every Digicel employee has an opportunity to interact with customers, listen to them and learn from them. That unique experience and interaction can then be applied by every Digicel employee as they seek to drive ongoing customer experience improvements and enhancements.

     

    Once again, Customer Day saw all 7,000 Digicel employees worldwide dedicating a day to customer-facing duties; from working the phones in customer care, serving customers in the Digicel stores and going on a truck roll with Digicel+, visiting a corporate customer or web chatting with customers – everyone, everywhere got stuck in to put the US in cUStomer.

     

    Rewards and friendly competition were also the name of the game with gifts and surprises for customers, staff voting for their Digicel Customer Heroes and each country across the globe seeking to go above and beyond in spreading the Customer Day love.

     

    Digicel Group CEO, Oliver Coughlan, said; “Customer Day is all about creating a teachable moment for all of our Digicel employees worldwide. It’s a great opportunity to take part in a positive shared experience that puts our customers at the very heart of our activities while also celebrating our amazing customer-facing employees.” 

     

    He continues; “It’s really a case of twice as nice. Customer Day last year was such a joy and such a success that we knew we had to do it again this year. Thanks to everyone for stepping up and stepping out. And thank you of course to our valued customers for making it Digicel.”
